Hello! My name is Kimmalla Mitchell!
I am the founder and creator of Transform U. Before pursuing a Life Coaching career, I attended TAMU - Corpus Christi for a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Rehabilitation. Soon after graduating, I enlisted in the United States Army and spent seven years serving. During that time, I held many titles: Human Resource Generalist, Administrative Assistant, and Military Police. Once I completed my contract, I enrolled at Liberty University and received M.A.s in Professional Counseling and Human Services Counseling - Life Coaching. I am now the Project Coordinator for the Integrated Care and Behavioral Health Project (ICBH) at the University of North Texas, a 1.2M federal grant.
I know it’s easy to get lost in the formalities of my educational backgrounds, accolades & life experiences. So, let me share my heart with you. Transform U was birthed from a place of frustration and confusion. Two years ago, I found myself becoming extremely frustrated with the limitation of what I could and could not share through the counseling services I provided as a student intern in the DFW Metroplex. I saw a substantial need for my clients dealing with real-life situations that I knew I could help guide them through. Working with the ICBH Project has opened my eyes to the actual needs of the community. This realization challenged my thinking in a way that made me aware of the desire God uniquely put in me to help people. If we, as a community, are individually stable in every area of our lives, then our increase in influence will change our current society’s trajectory. It is my mission to make sure that anyone that has the power of influence is holistically healthy and able to disseminate information effectively.
